Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | Automated Cell Imaging System will be used to study the impact of diet and microbiota-related compounds in vitro on cell fate and function such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, DNA damage, mitochondria function, oxidative and ER-stress, as well as invasion and migration. In addition, the possibility to perform cell count and scoring for further analyses, as well as an ability to perform multiple simultaneous analyses and continuous or discontinuous time-lapse imaging, is needed. For live cell imaging with the possibility of time-lapses, an environmental control is needed with the possibility to run multi-day experiments while mimicking the desired physiological environment. The most common one being a controlled and humidified atmosphere of 5% CO2 at 37°C with incubation times ranging from 4 to 48 hours. A possibility to perform so called high throughput screening with large samples sizes is crucial. Quantification of the acquired data is needed. In addition to cell imaging, some tissue sample slides are analyzed but with smaller sample sizes. Lastly, the device needs to be user-friendly, and simple to use and maintain without a need for a full-time device specific admin. |
